O livro contém os últimos registos desta série de batismos da paróquia de Capelo e os seus eventuais averbamentos. Possui o respetivo termo de abertura. ------------------------------------------------------------Birth record n.º 10, of 1908, from de the baptisms records of Capelo parish, municipality of Horta, Azores (1902-1911): “On the fifteenth day of april of the year one thousand nine hundred eight in this church of Santíssima Trindade, parish of Capelo, municipality of Horta, Diocese of Angra, I baptized a male person to whom I gave the name of João, who was born in this parish, at seven o'clock in the morning of the seventh day of the current month and year, legitimate son, second of the name, of João Garcia de Vargas Moitoso, farmer, and Maria Filomena de Matos, employed in domestic government, both natural, maried and parishioners of this parish, residents at Canto Street, paternal grandson of José Garcia de Vargas Moitoso and Maria Inácia, and maternal grandson of Manuel Pereira Garcia and Inácia Emília do Coração de Jesus. The godfather was António Pereira de Matos, maried, worker, and the godmother Nossa Senhora do Rosário, whose crown Delfina Pereira de Vargas, single, resident at this parish touched the baptized’s head, which all of them I know to be themselves. And for the record I draw up in duplicate this record, which after being read and confirmed before the godfparents, with me the godfather did not sign, because he doesn’t know how to write.
